Power of Outdoors

Modern lifestyle has confined us to Indoors and hence modern lifestyle diseases. I agree we all cannot go and live in mountains, but yes we can spend some time outdoors with Nature.

Research has shown that spending time close to nature reduces aggression, anxiety, lowness, mental tiredness and increases attention, cognitive capacity and wellbeing.

We all know that being in nature decreases stress levels and elevates happy vibes. Nature also protects us against the negative impact of stress: Several research suggests that spending time outdoors, and that too with friends colleagues and family can lower pulse rates, cortisol levels, and strengthen immune functioning.

There is something for Everyone

We have served people from Age 2 to Age 75. Weight 8 Kg to 126 Kg.

If you are fit and can trek, we are for you. If you need fitness support, we are for you. If you have some injury that restricts your climb or stiff walk, we can still organize something outdoors for you.

Breathe fresh, get your feed dirty and experince some wind on you face.

Get some Wild Wild Freshness.

Recommendations

Thank You GoGhumantu for my first trek at 52!- Aruna Sharma, World Window Group Consultant, Har Ki Dun

  • Without knowing about trekking I wished that someday maybe I too shall go on a trek. One fine day I got a mail from GoGhumantu for Har Ki Dun trek and I jumped in excitement. But soon after I got worried about whether I can really do it – 48 km at my age of 52 years?
  • In reply to my question, Go Ghumantu team shared with me a step by step approach to working on my fitness through calls /videos in an inspirational manner. The result was that even before the trek started I realized a major improvement in my fitness level. I was raring to go, and thus finally began the trek of my life.
  • Soon we were moving through forests, uphill, then downhill, crossing a river bridge and kept moving on and on. Suddenly I realized that I am struggling with nausea and wobbly legs. The Go Ghumantu team’s efforts at this point in terms of support, medication, taking care and organizing a horse ambulance were just too good and instead of giving up I was back on the trek again.
  • The beauty of the trek was mesmerizing but with a great variety of food on the table in time, comfortable tents and sleeping bags arranged by GoGhumantu team made the trek all the more comfortable and enjoyable.
  • The fun, laughter, wonder, music of river water, silence and majesty of trees and above all curiosity and faith in ourselves trodding unbeaten paths is something I shall always love and cherish about this trek. Thanks, Go Ghumantu team for making this possible for me.

The trek didn’t end there, this one got me addicted, Yeh Dil Maange More!– Kanika Gupta, Owner, Espee Global International School, Har Ki Dun

Yearning for a trek, for almost half your life, and when you get a chance, you jump at it.  Well, I was nothing short of – apprehensive!

  • At 40+, going on a trek with strangers wasn’t my idea of sweating it out. Whether the mind took over the heart or vice versa, here I was, out on a 48 km trek. Stuti, the trek coordinator, took the lead to dispel my ‘urban’ fears of training, acclimatisation and hygiene, followed by Priyanshu’s daily exercise drills and tips. We were on!
  • A diverse group, with a 7-year-old to a 52-year-old, we had them across all ages!! But, as they say, age no bar. And Team Goghumantu proved that absolutely right! Goghumantu didn’t just ‘take’ a group on a trek, but involved each and every person in that group of 20 to be a part of the adventure, each one having the other’s back.
  • From being with the 52-year-old falling sick, and yet comforting and motivating her to fulfil her dream trek, to walking slowly with the panting 40+ on the incline, holding a bottle of Glucon D and Diamox tablets for her; they did it all. Clean campsites, sophisticated windproof tents, superior quality snug sleeping bags, hot fresh food, the regular morning cuppa, hot water, hot milk, cereal, evening snacks, and the works, all in place.
  • I was expecting to return home all exhausted and famished. But this was no ‘kala pani’. It was an experience with a team of people who redefined minimalism, gratitude, support, camaraderie and test of our limits. Full marks to Team Goghumantu – Stuti, Shubhankar, Priyanshu and Abhishek for not only helping my dream come true but also in the dreamiest fashion. It doesn’t end here, this one got me addicted, Yeh Dil maange more!
