Quote for the day is ‘You’re stronger than you know’. You’ve to trek for a whole lot of 8 km today. When you signed up for the trek, you knew this ain’t a vacation, a trek demands fitness from you and today is the day you feel it and see for yourself. Start your morning with the stunning views of sunrise from Tungnath and the Chandrashila peak. Tungnath is third of the Panch Kedars and boasts of being the only temple in the world to be located at such a high altitude (12,073 ft). Reaching the Chandrashila top, a wholesome view of the Kumaon and Garhwal peaks greets you which includes Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nandaghunti, Kamet, Dunagiri, Chaukhamba, Kedar dome, Thalaysagar, Gangotri ranges and others.

Today, you resonate with ‘It does not matter how slowly you go, until you don’t stop’. You had a big day yesterday and though you are motivated in and out to head out for Deoriatal, your body tries to limit you. This is your chance of braving your limits and overpowering them. Go ahead, no matter what befalls, just do not stop. On the trail, you first come across at a place from where you might spot Chandrashila and Tungnath. Moving ahead, you delve into a trail of rhododendron and maple forests. Upon reaching Deoriatal lake, you see Mount Chaukhamba is sparkling at the expanse. Spend ample time here to absorb what Deoriatal reflects about you.
My favorite part was the bonfire dinner, when we played a game that involved relating our experience of the ongoing trek to life in general with certain wonderful tasks provided to us. Thank you tons GoGhumantu for creating that space.
The astonishing view at top of Chandrashila, the sunrise left me into tears and a deep silence. Thank you for everything GoGhumantu, this trek to me, was something not to capture but worth living for.
I realised I came with inhibitions and went back with bags full of memories and awareness. I want to thank GoGhumantu from the bottom of my heart for taking initiative to bring such experiences to people.
GoGhumantu trek leader assigns specific duties to each participant which helps us value the feeling of responsibility and self expression. I’m really glad gratitude took over me due to these activities and I could feel the need of expressing my love for my family and loved ones
